Strong Drinks and A Movie: "The Farewell"

"The Farewell" is a poignant movie about a Chinese-American family who struggles over whether or not to tell their matriarch about her terminal illness and the time she has left. Please watch the movie individually by August 8, 7PM, and then gather with us to discuss the movie and BYO favorite cocktail(s).

This is a corollary event to "Grief Through An Immigrant Lens" and "How To Talk To Your ̶K̶i̶d̶s̶Parents About ̶S̶e̶x̶Death" where themes that were highlighted in both of those events for immigrants and their families are depicted in this movie.
