Virtual Studio Visit: Pia Interlandi [Re]Dressing Death
Join curator Keren Ben-Horin for a live virtual visit to the studio of fashion designer and artist Pia Interlandi, who is best known for her custom-made, biodegradable burial garments.

Melbourne-based fashion designer and artist Pia Interlandi opens up her studio for a live visit, hosted by fashion historian and curator Keren Ben-Horin in collaboration with the Virtual Studio Visit Network and Reimagine. Pia's introspective work embraces death as an integral part of life by exploring the relationship between the decay of the body and the burial garments that cover it. Her experience dressing her grandfather for burial led her to train as a funeral celebrant and assist families with the intimate, profound experience of mourning and burial rituals.
