Writing Your Grief and Celebrating Life: A Writing Workshop
What Will the Neighbors Say? will deliver a free virtual writing workshop to folks who have been impacted by loss during the COVID-19 pandemic.

What Will the Neighbors Say? are thrilled to present a writing workshop and digital performance at THE CITY’s MISSING THEM Memorial Event. WWTNS? will deliver a free virtual writing workshop to any folks who have been impacted by loss during the COVID-19 pandemic. Using their unique process, which combines documentary theatre, self-scripting and guided writing, WWTNS? will help attendees write their own stories -- whatever those may be.

Delivered in both English and Spanish, the workshop will help people generate poetry, monologues, narratives or diary entries that will help them reflect on their grief and celebrate those they have lost. Please have a pen and paper, a laptop, or whatever you feel comfortable writing on with you.

After the workshop, in the space of just 24 hours, the WWTNS? team will edit the material into a script, and present it digitally with professional actors. Some of the writing will be set to original music, creating a powerful, moving and poignant eulogy to those lost to the pandemic, and a space to connect for everyone else.

WWTNS? are proud to support and uplift the important and meaningful work THE CITY has done for the people of New York throughout this pandemic by offering a space for everyone to express themselves through art, language and creative therapy.
