Creative Becoming - Nonbinary - Fall 2024

Join our interactive weekly class that meets virtually on Thursday evenings during the fall of 2024. This co-learning, intra-active class is a unique opportunity for personal growth and community support. With a playful spirit, we will breathe, move, create, and address common issues faced by people who are nonbinary. By participating, you will have the opportunity to heal, organize, and reimagine a world without binaries.

Methodology: Each class follows a four-step feedback loop:

• Intra-Action: Build connection, acting, resilience, and storytelling skills.
• Play: Build deeper connections through fun games and silliness.
• Diffraction: Explore common concerns in a co-learning environment.
• Creative Becoming: Collaborate to co-create new stories.

Instructors:

• Dr. Wend Ballew: With extensive experience in applied theatre, feminist pedagogy, and research methodology, Dr. Ballew developed the Creative Becoming method through over a decade of research and teaching in women’s prisons.
• Tzipporah Gerson-Miller: A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT), Tzipporah brings a wealth of knowledge in trauma-informed care, somatic practices, and creative expression.
