Grief on the Horizon, an empathy/movement experience
The landscape of grief is vast, spanning time and space, individual relationships and collective experience. And then there is the grief that emerges prior to the loss itself, knowing that it will surely come. How does anticipatory grief live in the body? How does one move through it? Whether one is preparing for the loss of a loved one, reckoning with one's own mortality or diminishment of capacity, or facing the impact of climate change and injustice or just need a space to be with grief in community, you are welcome.
Empathic conversation, rooted in the principles of Non-Violent Communication invites us toward a compassionate understanding of our lived experiences; creative movement allows for the embodied expression of long-held feelings. This union of empathy, embodiment, and expression brings from our heads into our hearts and toward a deeper level of self-connection and presence.
No prior movement experience is necessary. All movement invitations are optional, stillness is welcome.
