Let Me IntervYOU! Episode #6

Let Me IntervYOU! Episode #6
Legacy: Something received from an ancestor or the past. A father’s life lessons can continue to be a guide and inspire even after loss. Honoring a patriarch with Host Lily Liu and Guest Deb Canja.

During 2021, Reimagine highlighted Action Steps in the grief journey. This monthly gathering provides a space to share stories about taking action after loss and in grief.

Reimagine Collaborator & Host: Lily Liu, Caregiver

Guest: Deb Canja, Founder and CEO, Success4Kids; author, keynote speaker

Deb is an attorney and success coach. She provides online training and coaching to improve individual results. Her mission to help parents and teachers build a success mindset in boys is based on the unique program, Flying Eagle Formula, created by her late father at a boys summer camp in Northern Michigan.

Alex Canja was a University of Michaigan All-American diver and swim team captain. A WWII vet, his career was in public school education. Alex and his wife, Tess, operated Camp Flying Eagle for 30+ years.

Tess and Deb collaborated on publishing in 2019, Swim the Lake Before You Row the Boat, which shows how to deliberately provide the experiences that create powerful self-confidence and the specific steps to take to give a boy the mindset that will attract future success. Many of the 3,000+ camp alumni gather for reunions and reminisce about the impact the Canjas had on their lives.

Deb will honor her father’s legacy and share how she is taking her own combined life experiences to help others manifest success in children and themselves.
