Mourning, Moving, and Empathy
Led by transformational coach and movement artist Sasha Soreff, "Mourning, Moving, and Empathy" provides a space for honoring grief in community. Empathic conversation, rooted in the principles of Non-Violent Communication and coupled with creative movement, invites us to connect with our experiences of loss with compassion and support. When we are accompanied in our grief - as well as anger, shame, fear, and other emotions, we can become more present to ourselves and others. Creative movement allows for the embodied expression of long-held feelings, bringing us from our heads into our hearts and toward a deeper level of self-connection and healing.
No prior movement experience is necessary, and all movement and meditation invitations are optional, and can be on or off camera - you can fully participate whether you move or not. All movement can be done seated, standing, or lying down. All forms of creative expression and embodiment, including stillness, is welcome.

Testimonial: “I lost a close friend to COVID-19, and the first place I really felt safe enough to consider my grief was in a workshop with Sasha. I always come away feeling understood, not only by her, but by myself. Sasha’s workshops have been essential to my personal growth and sense of self.” Krishna, New York
