Object-Driven Meditation and Social Engagement Workshop

Hosted by Christopher Rzigalinski (NYU), In honor of Seekers everywhere.

Object-Driven Meditation and Social Engagement Workshop
This workshop invites us to rethink how we relate to everyday objects through meditation, finding greater purpose in the process.

In this workshop, yoga scholar-practitioner and museologist Christopher Rzigalinski invites us to rethink how we relate to everyday objects through meditation, finding our greater individual purposes and determining ways we can engage in community service.

This practice is grounded in Rzigalinski's research and teaching interests that focus on how embodied yoga principles can develop equity and justice in cultural institutions. The theory of object-driven meditation is inspired by his goal to help facilitate the creation of brave spaces of dialogue that cultivate co-collaboration. It is the foundational framework of Working Definitions Yoga, a community outreach organization that uses yoga principles to create actionable change. You can find more information about his artistic projects at working-definitions-media.com and his yoga practice at workingdefinitionsyoga.com.
