Reimagining Death 5-week Community Study
Welcome to a transformative journey into the profound intricacies of life's greatest enigma: Death.
This is your personal invitation to embark on a journey that transcends cultural boundaries, inviting you to reimagine and rekindle your relationship with the concept of death.
Death is the biggest teacher of our life- a portal to the Great Mystery- a passage home. However it is our intimate relationship with death that informs how we truly live. In their spiritual context, life and death are mirrors.
It is with great humility that I offer this annual community cohort during this changing season where the veil thins and becomes transparent, enabling us to connect intimately with our beloved departed and the spirit of our Ancestors.
Our ancestors have woven a rich tapestry of wisdom across cultures and generations. From the Mexica-Azteca to Greeks, Celtics, and Mayans, we will immerse ourselves into their cosmovisiones to uncover death as a guiding force through transformation and renewal, embracing its inevitability with grace.
Reimagining Death is a five week community study. This is a mix between an academic, spiritual, and somatic ways of learning- something that is very unique to my own process. I tend to give form but also see the need for us to feel and sense- to create your own altars, to inspire to unearth your ancestry, to call upon them, to pray together.
With so much love and devotion, if you are feeling the call to relate in this way with community- our cohort begins November 3rd. From my beating heart to yours,
Mariana

ABOUT MARIANA
Mariana is a passionate explorer of the human experience on Earth, driven by a profound curiosity about our shared humanity. She finds a deep connection to ceremonial traditions from all corners of the world that serve as vessels for preserving ancient wisdom and collective remembrance. With a background as both an anthropologist and archaeologist, her journey has taken her to diverse landscapes, from California to Mexico, Panama, and Guatemala, where she currently lives. In each place, she has dedicated herself to safeguarding the sacred lands that have been cherished and protected by indigenous peoples for millennia.
Mariana's work extends beyond the boundaries of traditional anthropology and archaeology. She has taken on the role of a death doula, focusing on the legacy of our ancestors and how their wisdom can illuminate our own paths to a more fulfilled life. Her primary focus lies in lineage healing, and she's a dedicated student of Mayan and Mexica healing modalities, which emphasize connecting with our ancestors and healing generational wounds.
Walking the path of curanderismo, Mariana immerses herself in the study of traditional healing practices rooted in Mexican and Guatemalan traditions. She delves into the intricate world of ethnobotany, exploring the role of ancestral plants in traditional ceremonies around the world and linking these teachings to various spiritual practices.
