Show & Tale: Old, New, Borrowed & Blue (and?)
Are you planning your wedding now? Or was it a long time ago?
Was there someone who missed joining in your special day because they had passed away?
Would they have walked you down the aisle? Would they have joined you in the receiving line or sat next to you at the head table? Would they have planned your bachelor/ette party?
How will you or how did you find a way to include them in your celebration of love?
Bring the photos & things that made you feel their presence & share their/your story💜
My co-host, and the person who inspired this slightly different take on my wedding theme, is Rachel Kodanaz. Her post Yes, her late dad walked her down the aisle was the inspiration for our collaboration.
We 1st met on a panel discussion about what to do with possessions of loved ones before or after death at my friend Gail Rubin's (aka the doyenne of death) Before I Die New Mexico virtual festival last Halloween weekend.
