Control-exerted by us, or upon us - can be pervasive. It can provide a sense of agency when next exists, and it can prove illusory when most yearned for. An embodiment, expression, and empathy space.

Attempting to control, especially when things feel overwhelming or scary, makes so much sense. And yet, how well does it work? And what is the longer term consequences? In this interactive space, we'll move, meditate and share about how control has shown up in our lives, and how we might acknowledge that which drives it and seek sovereignty and agency without relying on control.

Empathic conversation, rooted in the principles of Non-Violent Communication invites us toward a compassionate understanding of our lived experiences; creative movement allows for the embodied expression of long-held feelings that might never have been named. This union of empathy, embodiment, and expression brings from our heads into our hearts and toward a deeper level of self-connection and presence.

No prior movement experience is necessary, movement is optional and self-determined, and stillness is welcome.
