The Grief Gallery: January Gathering
We’ll start off with an introduction to The Grief Gallery (with visuals) from curator Charlene Lam. Then we'll open it up for conversation and sharing.
Feel free to bring an object to share in our virtual gallery space: An item or the story of an item you've kept after a loved one died.
Alternatively, there's no pressure to turn on your camera or to speak if you do not wish to –– all curious and kind grievers are welcome!
NEW: Have a question about what to do with an item? Want to troubleshoot a conflict about an object? Volunteer to be coached on the call.
Charlene Lam is a certified grief coach and the founder of The Grief Gallery. After her mother died suddenly in 2013, she leaned into her creativity and instincts as a curator to guide herself through grief.
As a grief coach, she supports bereaved people in processing their losses in creative, accessible ways with her Curating Grief framework.
The Grief Gallery presents exhibits about death and grief internationally, including in London, New York, Los Angeles and Toronto.
A proud Chinese-American New Yorker (like her mom!), she is currently based in Lisbon, Portugal.
