Grief & the Holidays, with Isabel Stenzel Byrnes, LCSW
The year-end holidays are a time of social gatherings, traditions and celebrations. They can also be a time of revisiting and reflection, grief and loss.
No matter how long, nor how recently a loved one has died, the holiday season can make grief feel even more present. Lost loved ones who are no longer physically present, contrasts sharply with the holidays 'good cheer' 'family time' and emphasis on celebration. These rituals often remind us of their absence in startling and exhausting ways. Isabel will offer tips, guidance & well tested ways to manage your grief and the holidays.
Isabel integrates her professional training and over two decades of clinical experience working with those facing mental health challenges such as grief with a lifetime of wisdom from personal illness and loss into her practice as a bereavement program manager/counselor and licensed clinical social worker. She has also informed, engaged and inspired audiences globally as an acclaimed author and public speaker.
