Recare provides in-home cognitive engagement for older adults with dementia. Our engagement specialists offer art, music, reminiscence, and sensory activities for those unable to leave their homes in NYC.

Our story began during the Covid-19 pandemic, when we saw how isolation deeply affected older adults both physically and emotionally. Out of love and respect for the elders in our lives, we founded Plantogether, a nonprofit that delivered over 1,000 plants to older adults across NYC, bringing joy, comfort, and connection. We created Recare to bring sensory-based, one-on-one recreation into the homes of older adults, helping them stay stimulated, connected, and cared for. We specialize in working with individuals living with dementia, offering personalized activities that support cognitive engagement, spark memories, and promote emotional well-being.
