My name is Ricky, I am a writer/comedian and had always wanted to talk about the loss of my mom but never knew how to, until I found stand-up comedy. I have created and toured a comedy solo-show talking about my experience of not able to come out of the closet to my mother after she was diagnosed with cancer, through that I have been able to connect with audience members from various backgrounds in different stages of their grieving journey as well as their sexuality journey - in the hope that they will feel a bit less alone than I was.
