Reimagine's Art Responders Series: Adia Victoria
Nashville-based singer/songwriter/poet Adia Victoria will hold a blues memorial service as a way to share our collective grief. Join us this week for Art Responders.

Art Responders is a weekly series hosted by Reimagine, featuring a mix of musicians, artists, comics, and writers who are each processing what it means to be human in this moment, grappling with themes of loss, grief, and death, reflecting and sharing new work born during this time of uncertainty, fear, and tragedy.

Singer/songwriter Adia Victoria feels that the past few months have witnessed shared trauma on a scale once considered inconceivable. As we deal with our pain and fear of the present, Victoria says we "must save space to also mourn the lives we lived before Covid-19."

She will hold a blues memorial service as a way to share our collective grief. Featuring a live performance with her band as well as a poetry reading.

Victoria is a Nashville-based singer/songwriter/poet who spins dark-hued tales of life in the Deep South. Adia earned critical acclaim for her gothic indie blues following her Atlantic-issued debut ‘Beyond the Bloodhounds’. Over the next two years, Victoria took breaks from touring to issue a French-sung EP and another of classic blues covers before recording her 2019 follow-up, Silences, with producer Aaron Dessner of The Nationa
