“Tune-in Tuesday” is a weekly dial-in musical concert and conversation. This week features singer Emily Walton and composer/storyteller Garrett Bell.

“Tune-in Tuesday” is a weekly, 30-minute dial-in concert featuring jazz, classic guitar, fiddling, and folk songs from NYC performing artists. Call-in requests, ask questions and even sing along in the finale! Past musicians include Monet Sabel, Matt Stoke, Douglas Waterbury-Tienen, Laura Dadap, and Pablo Helguera. Creative Coordination by Jessica Kahkoska. Led by Laura Nova, Public Artist in Residence with the NYC Department for the Aging and Su Casa artist at Phipps Plaza Naturally Occurring Retirement Community.

Garrett Bell is a composer/lyricist/playwright working in New York City. His plays include REQUIEM, WALT WHITMAN AND THE GREAT COMET OF THE APOCALYPSE, and THE PAINTER. His writing was recently featured in Z Publishing House's 2018 Emerging Poets. This past spring his musical BY MOONLIGHT, a modern adaptation of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, had its first New York reading. In his spare time Garrett also likes cooking meals his cats deem "passable" and writing short biographies about himself. Current participant of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop and proud member of the Dramatists Guild of America. @gbroadwell

Emily Walton is an NYC-based actor and songwriter. Her Broadway credits include Come From Away, Peter and the Starcatcher, and August: Osage County. She was also on the North American Tour of Come From Away for its entire first year. Off-Broadway, Emily has appeared in Darling Grenadine (Roundabout Underground), Women Without Men (Mint Theatre Co.), Ride the Cyclone (MTC), Eager to Lose (Ars Nova), The Shaggs and Saved (Playwrights Horizons), Cactus Flower (West Side Theatre), and The Deepest Play Ever (New Ohio Theatre). Her favorite regional credits include Meet Me in St. Louis (The MUNY), The Wizard of Oz (Sacramento Music Circus), Sondheim on Sondheim (Great Lakes Theatre Festival), …Spelling Bee (Pioneer Theatre Co.), and The Fairytale Lives of Russian Girls (Yale Rep). Film/TV: 5 Doctors, Submission, “Hack My Life” (TruTV), and “Search Party” (TBS). Jessica Kahkoska is a writer/dramaturg with a specialty in projects driven by research and community collaboration.
