Go Back To Your Country: Rejection and Reclamation

Hosted by MESO, Soyeon Davis

Go Back To Your Country: Rejection and Reclamation
Join our conversation as we deconstruct the weaponized phrase, "go back to your country" and its impact on immigrants, their next gen families, and anyone who has been "othered" by these words.

Please join us in conversation to deconstruct this oft-used phrase that is thrown at people who are perceived to be not from this country, based on appearance, dress, and/ or speech. We will explore dynamics behind this phrase and address its intentional impact on identity, perception, and health. By sharing our experiences, we will witness and advocate for one another, taking back agency, energy, and power.

Tida Beattie is a 1st generation Thai-American eldercare consultant and end of life doula. Soyeon Davis is a 1.5 generation Korean-American end of life doula. They unpack immigrant experiences with health, well being, death and grief and promote the pursuit of living wholly for all.
