October 21st: Advance Directives & What we Leave Behind
October 28th: Creating Space for Grief
November 4th: Death as a Teacher
In a supportive group setting, we will address matters and thoughts that tend to be avoided for a lifetime in our death-denying culture. We will meditate on death to gain insight into our deepest priorities, consider who and what matters most to us and take time to let them know, attend to our Advance Directives and ‘end-of-life’ plans, honor the losses we have experienced, and consider how we want to be remembered upon our inevitable death.
Those of us who are a part of this beautiful worldwide community at Reimagine seem to have this common understanding of how important this work is, yet what comes up consistently is how challenging it can be to get these matters taken care of on our own. What has become clear is that we benefit from the accountability of one another to attend to what matters most, and to allow for the process to be a connected and enjoyable one.
