A Bar/Bat Matzevah marks a person’s transition from Adult to Elder. Please join me to celebrate this meaningful life event, and you are welcome to explore making your own Bar/Bat Matzevah.

Most life events are from-to transitions, such as graduation or marriage. The lack of a “to” side when retiring or empty-nesting leaves many people to age without a vision of how they choose to live their aging years. Just as a Bar Mitzvah is a life event for transition from Youth to Adult, a Bar Matzevah is a life event for transition from Adult to Elder -- see www.BarMatzevah.com.

Bar Matzevah means that a person looks ahead to the next stage of their life to develop a vision of the direction and mission they will have in that stage. With such a vision the next stage is to be an Elder, a person who has built their life with intention. A person who continues to the next stage without Eldering is Aging. Aging is growing old, Eldering is choosing how to continue life.

This session will be the presenter’s Bar Matzevah, in which he has developed his vision of how to live with intention and become an Elder. He warmly welcomes all to join him as he marks reaching the Elder stage in his life.
