Create a Legacy Cookbook

Hosted by Life Story Club

Create a Legacy Cookbook
Looking for some good old fashioned soup for the soul? Join us to share some of your favorite family recipes and the stories that go along with them in this fun and inclusive storytelling group!

Join us in this special 9-week Life Story Club series, in partnership with Brooklyn Public Library and Apple Bank, where we come together to create our own Legacy Cookbooks! The group will meet over Zoom to share life stories around treasured family recipes and traditions. Each week, we'll ask you to share with us a family recipe and a story related to this recipe. Talk about soup for the soul!

This food-themed summer series is a great place for adults 55+ to socialize through storytelling and form lasting friendships from the safety of your own home. Everyone will walk away from the series with a hardcopy recipe book that they can take keep and treasure forever!

Below you can find the prompt questions for each week:

June 17: What's a dish you like to make when you or a loved one is feeling under the weather?

June 24: What are some recipes you have that were passed down from a loved one?

July 01: What is a recipe you love to cook or bake with others?

July 08: What are some of your go-to recipes for parties or celebrations?

July 15: What is your favorite summertime recipe?
