Death Doulas of Color Monthly Meetup Skillshare + Networking
Death Doulas of Color is a community of death doulas who are also People of Color (BIPOC), launched under the Joyful Death Institute (https://www.joyfuldeath.institute/ddc).
Our mission is to provide support, education, and valuable resources for Death Doulas of Color, in order to best serve and support our communities around death, dying, and ancestral connection.
Our Values
- Inclusivity: We welcome and embrace death doulas from all cultural backgrounds and experiences who identify as a Person of Color (BIPOC).
- Support: We are committed to uplifting and empowering one another in our sacred work, as well as our communities.
- Connection with Ancestral Medicine: We honor and incorporate traditional practices while operating in a ‘modern’ world. We honor our ancestral medicine and rituals.
- Sharing and Caring: We believe in the power of community and the exchange of knowledge and experiences.
