InterPlay Radical Self & Community Care Jan. 13

This is a digital event. You should receive information in your ticket or from the host about how to join online.

$0 - $50
Join us for an hour of playful body wisdom, exformation, and radical self-care tools & techniques taught by two dancing social workers. Learn & practice the five skills of Self-Care. *InterPlay Event.

As we InterPlay with a brand-new year 2026 it’s especially important to take tender, practical care of ourselves. Whether you’re a professional caregiver, a family caregiver, or both, it’s vital that being busy and overwhelmed doesn’t quietly turn into social isolation.

How about some movement? Creative storytelling? Community play?

In this playful, supportive gathering, you’ll learn and practice the five skills of self-care, connect with others through short, meaningful snippets of your own life stories, and share creative wisdom and inspiration—so you leave feeling more grounded, connected, and resourced.

What we’ll do together:

  • Gentle, accessible movement + embodied practices (no dance experience needed)
  • Creative storytelling prompts that help you name what’s true and what you need
  • Connection activities that build community care, not just “one more thing to do”
  • Practical tools for caregiver resilience using the Five Skills of Self-Care identified in Stillpoint: A Playbook for Caregivers to Find Ease, Time to Breathe & Reclaim Joy:
  1. Sorting & Separating (what’s mine vs. what’s theirs)
  2. Letting Go & Surrendering
  3. Building Partnership Power (getting the help you deserve)
  4. Stepping Back (seeing the bigger picture)
  5. Exercising Choice (practicing clear yes/no)
