Join curator and grief coach Charlene Lam for The Grief Gallery's monthly gathering for community sharing and creative inspiration.
We meet on Zoom the last Wednesday of the month at 2pm ET (NYC) / 7pm UK time -- we'll meet for 90min for this special New Year's Eve edition!
We’ll start off with an introduction to The Grief Gallery (with visuals) and the Curating Grief® framework. Then we'll open it up for conversation and sharing. And we may be joined by special guests!
INVITATION: Feel free to bring an object to share in our virtual gallery space: An item or the story of an item you've kept after a loved one died. For this NYE edition, it can also be an item that represents what you want to leave in 2025 and/or what you want to bring forward with you into the new year.
Alternatively, there's no pressure to turn on your camera or to speak if you do not wish to –– all curious and kind grievers are welcome!
During these gatherings, we:
- Make space for grief
- Share stories about our loved ones
- Get a taste of the Curating Grief® approach
- Learn more about why the lens of curating and meaningful objects can be so powerful for grievers
Charlene Lam is a certified grief coach, author, speaker, and the founder of The Grief Gallery. After her mother died suddenly in 2013, she leaned into her creativity and instincts as a curator to guide herself through grief.
As a grief coach, she supports bereaved people in processing their losses in creative, accessible ways with her Curating Grief framework. She's the author of the book Curating Grief: A Creative Guide to Choosing What to Keep After a Loved One Dies.
The Grief Gallery presents exhibits about death and grief internationally, including in London, New York, Los Angeles and Toronto.
A proud Chinese-American New Yorker (like her mom!), she is currently based in Lisbon, Portugal.
