Mourning with Hope: How to Journey with Those Facing Loss
Enter into the mourning process others face and identify ways you can journey with them to offer increased hope. Drawing from the Christian tradition of resurrection hope in the face of death, this workshop led by Natasha Steenkamp, LMHC, will provide spiritual support and practical tools to offer family and friends grieving loss. Presented by Redeemer Counseling Services. All proceeds gathered from the registration fee will be allocated to our Client Support Fund that provides financial assistance to clients facing economic hardship. About Natasha Steenkamp: Natasha Steenkamp graduated with a Master of Arts in Counseling from Biblical Theological Seminary. She works with individual clients on a broad range of issues including depression, anxiety, shame, interpersonal struggles, sexual abuse and trauma. Drawing from her personal journey of grief, following the tragic and sudden loss of her younger brother in 2011, Natasha specializes in helping clients who have suffered various losses. She facilitates grief support groups and grief workshops aimed at providing psycho-education and compassionate support. Natasha is trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Originally from South Africa, Natasha is an enthusiastic rugby and cricket supporter. Natasha and her husband, Henri, are active members of Grace Chapel in Bedminster, N.J. Natasha enjoys traveling, photography, swimming, visiting art museums and learning about art history.
