Dose of Togetherness with Sheila-Merle Johnson
Join Renaissance woman Sheila-Merle Johnson -- commune founder, bodyworker, meditator, channeler, dancer - and retiree - who will share how she lives life to the fullest.

The session will begin with a movement meditation and end with small breakout groups.

Sheila-Merle Johnson graduated from UC Berkeley in ’66 in French and Psychology. She became interested in personal and spiritual growth from her early 20’s when she discovered yoga and the psychic world. During this period she started a commune in Sonoma County and sold renaissance clothes through the 2nd Renaissance Faire and Nepenthe in Big Sur. She traveled around the world on the hippie trail at 25, and returned to fall into a career teaching and practicing Integrative Massage. She even did channeled readings for a while before committing to her true calling as a bodyworker. She discovered the Trager Approach® in ’76 and was an Instructor and Practitioner of it for 25 years in North America and Europe. It combines meditation, touch and movement in a playful way to promote sensory awareness, ease of movement and lightness and freedom of body, mind and spirit.* After a mild stroke (PICA) at age 53, she turned to more stay-near-home careers of Imaging Consultant and Home Stager, bringing back her love of esthetics. Sheila-Merle is now retired and lives in Novato CA. She takes great delight in spiritual and personal growth activities, such as meditation, improv theater, mentoring women with addiction, and various physical development practices.
