The E-Motion Movement Community: Movement-Based Grief Groups

Our Mission & Story
E-Motion Inc. is a nonprofit organization on a mission to transform how the world shows up for each other through grief and loss—so that no one grieves alone.
E-Motion was founded by Myra Sack after her older daughter, Havi, was diagnosed with a fatal neurodegenerative disease in December 2019. Havi died of Tay-Sachs disease on January 20, 2021. Blending bereavement science, lived experience, and the power of sport and movement, E-Motion emerged as a new way of living—and moving—with the hardest realities.
Join the E-Motion Movement Community This Fall
The Movement Community Model is a grief-informed, peer-led, and movement-based group for individuals who have experienced a life-disrupting loss. Each group is guided by a trained E-Motion Facilitator and includes 10–20 grievers moving together over 8–10 weeks.
This fall, we’re launching new in-person Movement Communities across the country, along with a virtual option for those who prefer or need to join from afar.
