I am here to reimagine...
A way to become more accepting of death and less fearful of it, so that we can take greater risks in our lives. Also--a realization that since we all face loss, grief can unite us and deepen our compassion for our fellow human beings.

My writing often explores themes of loss, grief, and spirituality. My first book, a memoir, "This Whole Wide World is Just a Narrow Bridge," is based on my experience as a hospice worker going through the death of my mother, birth of my daughter, and a near death experience. My second book, which I will be reading from in this presentation, "Living Waters: From Harvard Halls to Sacred Falls," is a coming-of-age novel, set at a New Age commune, that blends themes of living with terminal illness, spiritual searching, the paranormal, loss and grief, forgiveness and faith. I live in Sonoma County with my daughter and two cats.
