Beatrice Antonie Martino is an interdisciplinary artist and performer from Vienna, Austria, and holds B.A. degrees in Dance & Psychology from UCSB. She is passionate about the intersectionality of dance, music, and the visual arts, and loves working collaboratively with other artists. She is currently pursuing an M.A. at NYU Gallatin (‘20), studying immersive performance and interactive installations as catalysts for grief processing. She believes that art has a unique and powerful capacity for healing, and she strives to transform audiences through her work. Driven by multiple experiences of personal loss, Beatrice has been exploring themes of grief in her creative work since 2007. Her work is characterized as participatory, dynamic, and multi-faceted, and is fueled by the belief that growth, healing and purpose arise from the complex relationship between multiplicity and unity.
