The Church of the Epiphany is a diverse Episcopal community in the heart of downtown Washington, DC, working for spiritual transformation in our hearts and in the world by seeking justice, and by loving our neighbor as ourselves. For over 175 years, Epiphany has served our downtown community. At a time when Washington, D.C. is growing rapidly, with some of the highest rents in the country, we serve a population that gentrification has left behind; about 25% of our parishioners have experienced homelessness. We are a downtown common that provides respite and rejuvenation for downtown visitors, workers, and the homeless by offering a free breakfast program, weekly classical concerts, political education, and a sacred space to connect with God.
