We would like to reimagine death and grief from a Buddhist perspective--and specifically in the context of the coronavirus pandemic. Learning how to grieve is a skill we must learn if we are to meet life wholeheartedly in these times.
Our Story
Jefre Cantu and Ian Case are both senior students at Brooklyn Zen Center and alumni of Union Theological Seminary's Masters of Divinity program in Buddhism and Interreligious Engagement. Jefre is currently completing his chaplaincy residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Ian is an ordained Zen Buddhist priest and currently serves as the director of Brooklyn Zen Center.
