Steady Waves End Of Life Services was founded in 2017 by Emily Cross, in order to serve and uphold the wishes of the dying. As an end-of-life doula, Emily offers her intuitive approach to those seeking assistance, or simply a calming presence. She is the creator of the virtual living funeral ceremony, an experiential meditation on mortality. Participants will contemplate their personal memorial while imagining parts of their identity falling away. They will complete a writing exercise expressing their last words and wishes, and be gently lead through a death meditation using guided imagery. Many past participants have shared that the experience has been life-affirming and even life-altering.
