The Church of the Epiphany is a diverse Episcopal church in downtown Washington, D.C. For over 175 years, we have been called to build an inclusive and diverse community, serve people in need, and celebrate the arts. We are a Christian community that is passionate about radical hospitality and justice. Our parish has been mission-oriented since our founding in 1842. Throughout its history, Epiphany has served the people of downtown Washington, D.C. Epiphany continues to honor its roots by serving a wide variety of people. At a time when Washington, D.C. is growing rapidly, with some of the highest rents in the country, we continue to serve a population that gentrification has left behind; about 25% of our parishioners have experienced homelessness. We are a downtown common that provides respite and rejuvenation for downtown visitors, workers, and the homeless.
