Founded in 2017, The National End-of-Life Doula Alliance (NEDA), is an inclusive, transparent non-profit membership organization that is leading the rapidly growing end-of-life doula (EOLD) movement in the USA. We are the primary resource for the most comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date information about the field. Our goal is to create positive, creative changes in the way people die by: • promoting the important role end-of-life doulas play in end-of-life care • offering learning and networking opportunities via our website, directories, newsletters, social media, webinars, and events • educating related professionals and the public to end-of-life doula service • promoting optimum conditions under which end-of-life doulas serve • establishing proficiency measures, core competencies and practical guidelines that help EOLDs aspire to the highest standards in their work.
