We offer this resource to whomever can use it… from chaplains and religious leaders honoring those buried at NYC’s Potter’s Field on Hart Island to family members and friends of the deceased who may be leading memorial services online. If you are in need of inspiration, this guide is for you.
My Inspiration
A am a dean at One Spirit Interfaith Seminary. When we learned of the opportunity to deliver interfaith prayers and blessings to the Center for Faith and Community Partnerships at the NYC Mayor’s Office, we knew we had found the spot that theologian Frederick Buechner described as the place "where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet."
