the ways our lives are commemorated after death, the connection of our physical bodies to the natural world after death, and the ways that we can craft a lasting legacy that regenerates life and love.
My Story
In 2015, I was an organizational life-cycle consultant focused on environmental and community concerns and a mom of two young boys. I felt an increasing urgency to join the movement for environmentally-restorative, affordable, creative, and family-led deathcare practices. I felt an increasing urgency to join the movement for environmentally-restorative, affordable, creative, and family-led deathcare practices. Soon thereafter, I founded A Sustainable Legacy, an organization that serves those who are frustrated by standard funeral and burial options to create inspired end of life plans that align with their environmental and other deeply held values. I am a Funeral Celebrant certified by the Insight Institute in 2015, and a Certified Legacy Facilitator with Life Legacies in 2018. I am also a volunteer with the Funeral Consumers Alliance of Eastern MA and Seasons Hospice of Massachusetts.
