I am here to Reimagine the liminal space between terminal diagnosis and end of life, creating a place where hoping, knowing, planning, expressing, acceptance and peace can co-occur.
My Story
I am an EOL Doula. My work over the past 22 years has been providing guidance, comfort, confidence and support for those in sacred transitions. As a Birth Doula I supported expectant mothers and their families. As a hospice nurse, I sat at the bedside of hundreds of dying patients providing symptom management and education. As a Birth Doula I supported expectant mothers and their families. As a hospice nurse, I sat at the bedside of hundreds of dying patients providing symptom management and education. Working in hospice taught me that too often hospice services are initiated late in the course of illness, often so late that the individual does not have the opportunity to do the important work of dying. Many patients came just days or hours before their death, dying without having addressed emotional and/or family issues or financial and other tangles. Today I work with clients from time of terminal diagnosis thru to end of life through Health Care Advocacy, Crisis Consulting, Bedside Vigil Support and Advance Care Planning via Zoom or in person.
