I am a clinical social worker and a lay Buddhist chaplain with a focus on oncology and have been practicing for about 25 years. I am the co-founder of Facing Cancer Together, a non profit in Boston, Massachusetts which offers educational and support services to people living with and dying from cancer. We offer support, therapeutic writing, bereavement and caregiver groups at no cost to participants. I also offer workshops on creating a legacy from every day life as we grow older. I am the co-author of Lasting Words: A Guide to Finding Meaning Toward the Close of Life and a second upcoming book due out in October, 2020 called Opening to Grief. I maintain a private practice in Brookline, Massachusetts.
