As her oldest grand-daughter, we shared a birthday and had a very special bond. The time we had together every day in the hospital during the last month of her life was such a gift. Our conversations about what was important to her, her words of wisdom, and what she needed to say and do at that time, I feel, allowed her to find peace as her days on this earth came to an end. This is the catalyst for the work I do -- as a certified End of Life Coach and guide, supporting people with Advance Care Planning, having conversations with families about living and dying consciously, after death care options, and community education. In this time of COVID, I also support families with virtual ceremonies and memorial services after death.
