Goodbye is a good buy

Because you pay for my absence

But not my absence of mind

Haunted by the feeling

That couldn’t hold up the ceiling

But came crashing down

The grief is what you found

You try to sell it as it is

Stoic, stolen, shy

But it is the blue sky

You have only to release it

And realize it was never yours

It could never be yours

Because it was ours.
