"Be a Man."
Society expects men to take charge, get things done, and keep their emotions in check. But what happens when their best friend dies and they're not allowed to grieve?
In Friend Grief and Men: Defying Stereotypes, you'll meet men whose friendships shaped their lives. Some lost a best friend. Some lost dozens of friends.
Their stories of grieving and healing with change your perception of what it means to 'be a man'.
My Inspiration
When my Dad was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer, I watched his friends close ranks around him with a love that astonished me. We've been told for too long that there are ways that men grieve and ways that women grieve. And that men's friendships are not as deep, not as meaningful as women's. That 'men don't talk' about their feelings. Nothing could be further from the truth. They just need someone to listen to them.
