When someone we love is grieving, we often don’t know what to say — so we default to “Let me know if there’s anything I can do.” But grief makes it hard to reach out or even know what’s needed.

In this short video, we explore gentle, meaningful ways to actually support a grieving friend — from offering specific help to simply being present with compassion and quiet understanding.

Whether you’ve recently lost someone or want to show up better for a friend, this video offers language and approaches that bring comfort, not pressure.

 You’ll learn:

  • What to say instead of “Let me know if you need anything”
  • How to offer help that feels supportive, not intrusive
  • Ways to stay connected as time goes on

A slight shift in how we show up can make a world of difference for someone in pain.

Our Inspiration

I recently lost one of my soul dogs and got bombarded with well-meaning wishes, comments, and interpretations of my situation. It compelled me to share some ways that can make it easier for the grieving person to feel supported without tending to the helpers' need to feel needed.
