As a trauma/emergency room nurse, I witnessed many people's end of life. As I sat beside them, I would think that this sacred moment was the end to their story; the closing of their book. As a mediator and conflict manager, and even when I was nursing, I see clients and their families torn apart because they have not talked about what they want their ending to look like. This book seeks to lay a foundation for people to live well in the time they have, to leave their stories behind as their legacies, and to die well by having their final wishes honored. Their are tools and promos to help you have difficult conversations regarding legal decisions, healthcare plans, relationships and death and dying. If we recognize the finite nature of our days, we can live purposeful all the way to the end, and die without regret.
Death is a spiritual initiation & you have been walking toward it since your first breath. The question isn’t if it’s coming but if you’ll meet that moment fully awake.
